ARREST MADE FOR DRUNK & DISORDERLY BEHAVIOUR

Dear residents.

Earlier today, while on patrol, PS Andy Holian was approached by a member of staff at ABACO Café on Uppermill High Street regarding an individual inside the premises who was intoxicated and refusing to leave when asked.

Upon being spoken to, the individual became abusive, used inappropriate language, and later made threats towards attending officers. He was subsequently arrested for being drunk and disorderly in a public place and taken into custody.

This incident is a reminder that your local Neighbourhood Policing Team will always take appropriate action when responding to concerns raised by our community. Our priority is to ensure the safety of residents, visitors, and those who work in our local businesses.

We encourage everyone to report incidents of this nature so we can continue working together to keep Saddleworth and Lees a safe and welcoming place to live and work.
